A Warm Bath
Quite the simple remedy many people do not know about – a warm bath can bring comfort to any body that is hurting or ailing, including a body infected with herpes.
If you have sores that came from a herpes outbreak, soaking in warm bath can reduce the pain significantly. However, note that soaking in the tub will increase the chance of transmission, so make sure to clean it well before an uninfected person has to use it.
Olive oil is famous for its moisturizing power. This ingredient is one of the best-known remedies for herpes sores due to its high levels of anti-oxidants.
A single cup of olive oil is the best measure for your sores. Heat this quantity in a pot, add some bee wax and lavender oil and apply the mixture on your infected areas. After it is cooled, of course.
Even though olive oil is proven the most efficient, ice is the simplest and therefore, most commonly used home remedy against herpes. And it is no wonder – ice provides immediate relief when in pain.
Take some crushed ice and fill it in a plastic bag. Use a thick cloth to wrap the bag and place it on your herpes sores for approximately 10-15 minutes. This should help get rid of the itching sensation and reduce the swelling.
You can repeat this method several times every day, until the herpes outbreak is gone. However, avoid lengthy exposure to the ice.

This is a medicinal plant that carries a grand amount of anti-viral properties. Therefore, it is very efficient at enhancing the immune system. In addition to this, all parts of the plant are beneficial for herpes treatment.
You can consume Echinacea in many ways. Drink it in the form of tea or a juice, or simply take an Echinacea pill.
Baking soda is a different remedy than the others we have mentioned. Why?

Use baking soda on a cotton ball and apply this to your infected areas. Baking soda will help you dry out the blisters faster than any other natural remedy.
If you decide to use this ingredient, do not dip the cotton ball more than once. This will help you avoid contamination.
Tea Tree Oil
Also used to heal the outbreaks, tea tree oil is used to remove the ulcers from your mouth. People infected with genital herpes can either gargle water and tea tree oil, or use an eyedropper to put tea tree oil on the infected areas.
Lemon balm is reach in phenolic acid, flavonoids and rosmarinic acid, three of which will help you heal the blisters and sores after a herpes outbreak.
One way to use this remedy is by drinking a lemon balm tea. The tea should be used after you let it steep for a while, and by using a soaked cotton ball directly on the sores and blisters.
For those who enjoy an alcohol drink more than the regular tea, you can use 2-3ml of lemon balm tincture and add it to a glass of water. It only needs some good stirring and your drink is ready. This is an alcohol based liquid extract that can work equally good for removing your herpes sores.
The recommended dosage is three times a day.
In addition to the tea and alcohol-based beverage, you can also use lemon balm through ointments and creams. Use such creams directly on the infected area.
Black tea is rich in tannin and known for its anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to this, the black tea is a strong anti-viral remedy.
Prepare yourself a cup of black tea and let it cool down. When cooled, apply the tea bags on the infected areas and leave them there for approximately 5 minutes. You can repeat this process two or three times every day until the sores are gone.
Aloe Vera contains natural healing properties that can do wonders with herpes blisters. If you have had an outbreak and struggle with some red and itching blisters, all you need is pure aloe Vera gel. Apply this gel directly on the sores.

A warm bath is much better for your sores if you use Epsom salt water in it. Take a warm bath in water mixed with this soothing ingredient. After you do this, your skin will be dried and the itching should be gone.
Equally as good as the black tea, herbal tea can help you avoid and reduce the symptoms of any skin disease. For treating herpes infections, some of your best herbal tea choices are lemon, cinnamon, ginger and chamomile.
As you probably know already, herpes can also affect the mouth and lips, as well as the genital parts. Well, black coffee is the best remedy to treat your mouth blisters and lips sores.
