Will I Need A Blood Or Urine Sample?
The herpes 1 test requires a blood sample, not a urine sample. Upon arrival at the testing facility you will be directed to fill a cup in the bathroom with urine. This test includes no invasive swabs or scraping.
What Will The Results Show?
Your test for HSV-1 will simply indicate whether or not the disease is detected by stating positive or negative. If your result says positive, that means that HSV-1 was detected. If your results say negative, you do not have Herpes Simplex 1.
